Talk Me Down
PlayableLand the plane. Decode the tower. Try not to panic.
The pilot is out cold. You're in the left seat of Flight 404 with no training, the ground coming up fast and one lifeline: the voice on the radio. The bad news is that the tower is staffed by an 81-year-old crop-duster pilot stuck in 1965, a butler too polite to say anything straight, a sarcastic teenager on work experience and a four-year-old whose dad is in the toilet.
Talk Me Down is a free online flight simulator game you play in your browser. It isn't about realistic flight physics. It's about landing the plane when every instruction has to be decoded first.
How to play
Listen to the tower and work out what they actually mean, then flip the right switches, set the flaps and throttle, and get the landing gear down before you run out of altitude. Every wrong move costs you height. Meanwhile you have to keep the wings level, keep the frost off and stop the passengers from panicking. One airplane, too many jobs, and a radio you can't fully trust.
Meet the tower
- Walt, 81. Retired crop-duster pilot. He never says anything wrong, he just says it in 1965.
- Nigel, 58. Retired butler. Too polite to give a straight order, so count the negatives.
- Mia, 16. Work experience. Phone on 4%. Not everything she says is meant sincerely.
- Bean, 4. She's doing her best, and her best can't count to three.
Each tower has its own way of talking. Work it out, or crash into a field.
A flight simulator for people who hate flight simulators
No manuals, no 40-button tutorials and no download. Talk Me Down is a short, chaotic land-the-plane game you can finish in a few minutes. It runs in any browser on desktop and mobile, and every flight is different because instructions, panels and warning lights are randomized each time.
Features
- Free to play online, with nothing to install
- Four tower controllers, each with a different trick to crack
- Randomized cockpits and instructions, so no two landings are the same
- Side jobs that stack up as you go, so you're juggling the plane while you decode the tower
- Retro pixel art and radio chatter
- Share your landing score with friends
